I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Pep Boys and am requesting that this matter be investigated immediately. I brought my vehicle to your shop for an electrical diagnostic. At the time I dropped it off, my vehicle was running and I drove it into the shop without any issues starting the engine. My vehicle remained at your facility for approximately two weeks, during which time no one contacted me to provide an update or request authorization for additional work. When I finally called to check on the status of my vehicle, I was told that your staff had been trying to contact me but that I had your number blocked. This is completely inaccurate. I have no missed calls or voicemail messages from Pep Boys. Ironically, when it was time to pay my bill, I immediately received both a text message and an email notifying me that my vehicle was ready for pickup, proving that you had valid contact information. What concerns me most is what I found when I arrived to retrieve my vehicle. Without my authorization, the shop had removed my starter and performed work that I never approved. I was then charged for parts that I had neither requested nor authorized. Even more

For the most part I am satisfied with the service. I brought my car in because my AC stopped working, my driver window latch is loose and I needed my headlight replaced. They checked my AC couldn't find a problem, it started working again. They said the latch is working like it should even though it's still loose and they forgot about my headlight so the needed to keep it overnight to replace. All in all I'm happy they were able to get my headlight fixed and didn't find any major issues with my AC or window latch. I paid less than $40 so I'm GTG.

I made an appointment for 11:30 am for Sunday 07/19/26… haven’t been here in like a year or two. I have a company car I had to get an oil change on my only day off. Got there on time…. 1.5 hours later… I’m still waiting car still where I parked it. Finally this female walks over to me and says the air filter and windshield wipers need to be replaced. I’m like it’s on the company so go ahead. 1.5 hours after that, I’m like what’s wrong? Why am I still waiting at 2:37pm? The same woman says β€œwe are waiting on authorization from the company”… I give the company car care number a call and they were saying there wasn’t a work order. So I relayed the message. This goes back and forth for about 10 minutes. My company the asks me what the work order is for. I say I was told oil change, replace the air filter, & windshield wipers. The lady at pep boys then says and brakes and a battery…. Wait what???? She goes I told you that. And that’s when my patience I was hold on to left the building. She DID NOT inform me of anything but an air filter and windshield wiper blades. My company asked what was listed on the inspection. Needless to say Pep Boys wasted 3.5 hours of my day keeping me and the

Service manager lacked customer skills, added costs to estimate, such as additional warranty, without asking if I wanted it. Gave a 1.5hr timeline, then 4hrs later after my multiple questioning, informed me the part would NOT arrive on time before the shop closed. He had to put my car back in running order so I could take it home. He charged me for the part and labor- which had NOT arrived, nor had been installed. Then told me in 2 days to return, and they would install the part for no "additional charge". I left extremely tired an frustrated. Only later, realizing that what he did was illegal - charging for parts and labor not preformed. THankfully, I DID return, and he put in the part without charging additional. But he didn't even come out and see me or acknowlage the poor service or try to make anything right. He let the receptionist handle everything, while he hung out in his office. I would deffinitely stay WAY away from this Pep Boys location, until they get a new manager.

Been patronizing Pep Boys Washington Rd for well over 20 years and well back into the years of the old location. Seems like the level of customer care has decreased since the older Black gentleman who was there at the counter for many years has either left or retired. He was rational and had a gifted intuitive ability regarding everything. I know one thing....I will no longer be using the online appointment system. They seem to find everything imaginable and send out something a few hours later with ridiculous amounts of money needed for repairs. They claimed I had agreed to 800 dollars of repairs on a recent visit to simply replace two tires. They got on the phone with some offshore customer agent. They were at least able to take 200.00 or so off, but it was still far more than what I brought in the car for. So much better when one simply takes the car in, verbally tells them what is wrong then comes back later in the day to pick up. So when the lady called back and said something along the lines, " you want everything take care of" what I assumed was the tires. What I did not know is she assumed I received the information from them, when in reality it went to like my work e-mail
